Helping the residents of Bakhmut

Students and teachers of the AIS department together with all the academic staff and students of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (IELIIT) of KrNU took part in collecting humanitarian aid for the residents of Bakhmut - candles, batteries and flashlights. Especially for the candles, thanks to which it became brighter in the shelters where the city residents are hiding.

In November, colleagues from the Educational and Research Professional and Pedagogical Institute of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy in Bakhmut approached the leadership of IELIIT KrNU. They asked us to help them with candles and flashlights, because there is virtually no electricity in Bakhmut, but there is constant shelling, people are hiding in shelters, often without light.

The institute's faculty and students collected the humanitarian aid during the day. The lion's share of it consisted of long-burning candles, which are made at a Kremenchuk candle factory. The parcel was promptly sent by Nova Poshta to Pavlohrad, and from there the volunteers took it to Bakhmut.
