Within the framework of the All-Ukrainian campaign "16 Days Against Violence", events were held for students of KrNU aimed at forming knowledge about legal means of combating violence. In particular, together with the Kremenchuk Local Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid, a training on "Legal and Regulatory Means of Combating Domestic Violence in Ukraine" was held.
Svitlana Tereshchenko, Head of the Free Legal Aid Department of the Kremenchuk Local Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid, revealed the main features of domestic violence as a negative social phenomenon. Valeriy Shapoval, Head of the Legal Clinic "Pravozakhyst" - Associate Professor of the Department of Fundamental and Branch Legal Sciences, highlighted practical issues of bringing perpetrators of domestic violence to administrative and criminal liability.
A roundtable discussion on combating violence against minors, organized by Dmytro Syrota, attorney-at-law, associate professor of the Department of Fundamental and Branch Law, revealed the main problems related to the detection, recording of cases of violence against minors and bringing perpetrators to justice. A special feature of this event was the participation of Roman Sorokin, a graduate of KrNU (specialty 081 Law), and now a senior inspector of the Juvenile Prevention Sector of the Poltava Oblast Police Department.
