Free choice

The procedure for choosing academic disciplines is regulated by the following documents:

• Regulations on the formation and procedure for selecting academic disciplines in the section "Academic disciplines at the student's choice" of the curricula of bachelor's and master's degrees; on the approval of educational and professional programmes, curricula of bachelor's and master's degrees
• The Procedure for Forming an Individual Educational Trajectory of a Higher Education Applicant at KrNU
• List of academic disciplines of the student's choice (link)

According to the Regulations, at least 25% of the total number of academic disciplines are "free choice" disciplines. Bachelor's degree students choose their disciplines in the 2nd year (4th semester) by 1 April. Masters and PhDs choose their disciplines within 2 weeks of enrolment.

General algorithm for choosing disciplines:

1. Attend events to present free choice disciplines.
2. Study the structure of the curriculum for your study programme.
3. View catalogues of elective courses (Bachelors and masters, PhD).
4. Зробити вибір через електронний кабінет.
5. У випадку, якщо на обрану дисципліну не сформувалась кількісно достатня група здобувачів, то потрібно скорегувати свій вибір.
6. At the department, sign a paper version of the application with a list of selected disciplines.
7. Include the selected disciplines in your individual study plan.
