EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR FROM THE SES OF UKRAINE IN POLTAVA REGION "Actions of the Population in Case of Detection of Explosive Ordnance"

Today, on 22.11.2022, inspectors of the Poltava Regional Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Poltava Oblast conducted an online mine safety training event.

The event was initiated by the Department of Civil Safety, Labor Protection, Geodesy and Land Management and the Department of Automatic Control and Electric Drive Systems in close cooperation with the Head of the Poltava Regional Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Poltava Oblast Serhii Gerashchenko.

The main speakers of the seminar were Iryna VITKO and Vladyslav DIACHENKO, who is currently studying in the specialty 263 Civil Security and is obtaining a master's degree. The students were told in detail about mine traps, tripwires and improvised explosive devices that remained on the territories of our country liberated from the occupiers. They were also provided with detailed illustrative materials to help identify such dangerous finds and familiarized with the algorithm of actions when detecting explosive devices.

Students majoring in 263 Civil Security, 141 Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics, 122 Computer Science, 151 Automation and Computer-Integrated Systems joined the event despite the emergency power outages and gained new knowledge that saves lives. Vladyslav Dyachenko spoke about a new mobile application from the SES called "Ukraine's Demining", which is available for both Android and IOS.
